Home Study

A Home Study is a thorough description of a prospective adoptive families' profile. Each Home Study provides detailed assessment information and is used to determine the families' ability to parent a child with "Special Needs" currently in foster care. Home Studies will be created by an assigned Social Worker for each prospective adoptive family that has entered the adoption process through The Giving Tree. Studies are written in conjunction with the IMPACT Pre-Service Training and must be completed within 6 weeks after classes are done or from the date all required verification/documents are received.

On an independent basis, The Giving Tree's Social Workers are available to complete home studies for independent families who do not complete our Agency's training program.
